Application Area:
The Knauf AQUAPANEL UNIVERSAL cement board provides various internal and external application possibilities. For internal use, it serves as an ideal base for tiling, with a wall height limit of up to 2750 mm and a tile weight limit of 30 kg/m2. For external applications, the board is suitable for:
- Direct installation on steel structures with OSB boards as a base.
- Cladding of steel or wooden structures, for example, in the renovation of concrete or masonry.
- Covering small areas, closing beams, or cladding ventilation ducts and drainage pipes.
Qualities:
The universal Aquapanel cement board, with a thickness of 8 mm, is a waterproof construction board made of aggregated Portland cement, covered with a glass fiber mesh embedded in its front and back. It offers all the advantages of dry construction. Its edges are cut straight, and the longitudinal edges are reinforced for additional strength (EasyEdge® technology). With its thin and extremely lightweight construction, the board provides a sturdy surface for both internal and external applications. With a thickness of 8 mm, it is fire-resistant (Class A1 according to EN 13501).
