When the construction is more specialized and the conventional metal frame is insufficient, reinforcement must be installed. So-called traverses or support brackets are inserted into the space between the walls to secure heavy loads to the gypsum board (sinks, toilet elements).
Reinforcement profiles UA must be mounted in the door openings. They have the same shape as U-shaped elements but are significantly thicker. When mounting the door, the profiles are used simply as side support.
Installation of Metal Profiles for Gypsum Board
The most important elements are U-shaped profiles for floors and ceilings and C-profiles for the sides and vertical supports in the middle. UW elements should be fixed to the ceiling, wall, and floor with dowels every 50 cm. Insulation strips, attached to the gypsum board profiles, provide thermal and sound insulation.
CW profiles are mounted at a distance of half the width of the panel. They are attached to UW profiles. You can fill them with insulation material such as mineral wool for sound and thermal insulation. Then, the structure is covered with gypsum board.
