Premium Facade Paint Baumit StarColor
Premium Facade Paint Baumit StarColor – Innovation, Protection, and Lasting Aesthetics for Modern Architecture
Baumit StarColor is a high-tech premium silicone-based facade paint, designed for those seeking the perfect balance between durability, aesthetics, and long-term facade protection. With its innovative formula and excellent workability, this product ranks among the most advanced solutions for protecting buildings from weather conditions, biological contamination, and moisture.
Functionality Beyond Standards
The core of StarColor is based on silicone resin combined with organic binders, high-quality fillers, and color pigments. This gives it exceptional properties: strong water repellency, quick drying, excellent vapor permeability, and increased resistance to UV rays and weather influences. Thanks to the special functional filler, the surface dries quickly even after rain, dew, or fog – a key advantage in areas with variable weather.
Active Protection Against Fungi and Algae
StarColor is not just paint, but an intelligent barrier against biological contamination. The product contains active ingredients that prevent the growth of microorganisms such as fungi and algae – a common cause of visual and structural facade damage. This makes it especially suitable for buildings in high humidity or densely vegetated areas.
Application Without Compromise
StarColor is compatible with almost all types of mineral substrates – lime-cement and cement plasters, concrete, old and new dispersion and mineral coatings with good adhesion. It is suitable for both new construction and renovation of old buildings, including refreshing external thermal insulation systems. It can also be used in the plinth zone, where abrasion resistance and water resistance are crucial.
Easy Processing and Professional Finish
Working with Baumit StarColor is intuitive and efficient. For the first layer, the paint is diluted with up to 15% water and applied as a primer, followed by an undiluted second layer. If additional thinning is required for the second layer, adding up to 5% water is acceptable. The paint is applied evenly with a roller, brush, or by machine (including airless techniques), and it is recommended to work from the shaded side of the building at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. For darker shades from the Life color chart (ending in digits 2, 3, 4), machine application is mandatory for large areas.
Color Flexibility and Visual Impact
StarColor is tinted using the unique Baumit Life system – one of the largest color palettes in Europe. Shades ending in digits from 2 to 9 are available, excluding special effect symbols, ensuring a rich variety of classic and modern color options. The matte finish (classified G3 according to EN 1062-1) gives the facade an elegant softness and color depth.
Substrate Preparation – The Key to Long-Lasting Results
Successful application of the paint requires a well-prepared substrate: clean, dry, dust-free, salt-free, oil-free, and structurally sound. In the case of chalking surfaces, prior treatment with a suitable primer such as Baumit MultiPrimer or SanovaPrimer is recommended. Old paint layers with poor adhesion must be removed, and substrates affected by fungi should be treated with specialized solutions like Baumit FungoFluid.
Baumit StarColor is the ideal choice for architects, builders, and investors who value top-tier appearance, durability, and reliable protection. Whether it’s a modern new building or the renovation of an old facade, StarColor delivers excellent visual results, outstanding functionality, and uncompromising resistance. This is the paint that meets the highest standards in contemporary facade construction.
