Storage and Transport
Protect from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Store in the original packaging in a cool place, at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C for up to 12 months. Close the opened package tightly.
Surface Preparation
Before application, protect surfaces from contamination. When exposed to atmospheric influences, protect from moisture and direct sunlight. The surface onto which the material is applied should be stable, dry, and clean, without debris.
Check the suitability of the surface by conducting a test on the object before applying Knauf Quarzgrund.
Application of the Material
Do not use the material at temperatures outside the range of +5°C to +25°C for the air, material, and surface.
Before use, stir the contents. If necessary, add up to 10% water to the original packaging to improve the product's consistency. Apply Knauf Quarzgrund evenly with a roller or brush. Clean the tool immediately after use with water. Contaminations from the material can be cleaned with water before drying.
Drying
Apply Knauf Quarzgrund onto a completely dried surface. The drying time is at least 12 hours at a temperature of 20°C and air humidity of up to 65%. In conditions of cold and humidity, the drying time may be extended. The absorbency of the surface and the wind can accelerate the process.
Climatic Conditions for Work
The temperature of the material, surface, and air during work and drying should not be outside the range of +5°C to +25°C.
Special Notes:
Do not mix Knauf Quarzgrund with other materials.
