Knauf FILL & FINISH (Sheetrock - blue cap) is a vinyl-based, pre-mixed formula with a creamy and fine consistency, weighing up to 35% less compared to traditional ready grouts and putties. In one workday, a worker carries and applies over 400 kg of putty.

FILL & FINISH significantly reduces this amount and offers better workability, easier application, excellent adhesion, and outstanding crack resistance. There is no need for special sanding machines due to its special factory formula, which increases productivity and profit.

It can be used directly from the bucket, requiring minimal stirring and homogenization with suitable Knauf tools. It can be diluted with water if necessary, depending on the worker's needs, without compromising the product's qualities.

Application:

• Q1/ Q2/ Q3/ Q4 finishing of joints and entire plasterboard surfaces
• Joints are reinforced with paper tape
• Recommended for joint with AK edge
• For Q1 level with HRAK edge, joint preparation with Knauf Fugenfueller or Knauf Uniflott is required

Application/Application

Remove all existing release agents, e.g., wallpapers, residues from previous coatings, or paper. The plasterboard surface should be dry, clean, dust-free, and firmly attached to the substructure/wall.

For masonry backgrounds, pre-fill large cracks and damaged areas with Knauf Uniflott. Pre-prepared surfaces should be dry and well cleaned.

Mixing

Mix the compound well, add a little water to achieve a looser consistency if necessary. Use clean buckets/tools for mixing.

Tools and Equipment

Tools: Trowel, wide spatula.

Filling and Seaming Plasterboard Surfaces

Fill the joints and screw heads, apply tape, and smooth with a trowel. The previous layer must be completely dry before applying the next one.

Drying Time

The application time will vary depending on the ambient temperature and humidity.

Temperature/Climate During Application

The material, the substrate, and the air temperature during application and until complete drying should not fall below +10°C.

Important

Do not mix Knauf Fill & Finish blue cap with other materials. Clean the tools with water immediately after use. Knauf finishing products should be applied to Knauf plasterboard of the same brand to ensure system performance, as described in detail in the GPDAВ Product Compatibility Declaration. Depending on room temperature and humidity, expect longer drying times, especially for thicker layers.

Coverage

Expected coverage of approximately 45 m² per 20 kg bucket (11 m² per 5 kg bucket) and easier sanding than traditional jointing compounds.
